Description

These free chlorine water quality test strips have a wide range of detection. Designed to resist interference from monochloramines, these water test strips are the ideal product when testing water quality in a food processing environment. They offer 2 methods of detection, one precise range from 0 – 1.2ppm (mg/l) as well as a wider range 0 – 7ppm (mg/l) – making them perfect for determining whether or not the correct amount of sanitiser is present.These test strips have a unique safety feature, which is called ‘bleach-out’ warning: if there is too much chlorine in the water they will go black.

The test strips are very reliable and have been laboratory checked to make sure they produce accurate results. They are also used in the medical industry to monitor cleaning of some medical devices.

Testing Levels:

• Method A: 0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 ppm (mg/l)
• Method B: 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.40, 0.60, 0.80, 1.20 ppm (mg/l)

Total Test time: up to 30 seconds depending on the chosen methodContains: 50 stripsHow to Use: For room temperature samples, two different methods may be used: Method A (for 1.0 to 7.0ppm) or Method B (for 0.00 to 1.20ppm)

1. Method A: Dip one test strip into a 20ml water sample for 10 seconds with a constant, gentle, back and forth motion. Remove the strip and match colour with the colour chart.
2. Method B: Dip one test strip into a 20ml water sample for 30 seconds with a constant, gentle, back and forth motion. Remove the strip and match colour with the colour chart.

For best results, please follow instructions carefully.

Please note: not suitable to test pool & spa water.

General description: For semi-quantitative determinations. Detection method: colorimetric. Fast, simply dip and read indicator paper. Consists of a plastic strip with attached sealed test paper. Compare colour change of test paper with fields of equal size on colour chart provided.

Please note: Store in a cool, dry (below 32°C) place and away from excess heat and direct sunlight. No MSDS required. Keep away from children and pets. Avoid contact of test areas on strips with skin & eyes, do not ingest or expose to acids.  This is a screening test and can not be used to certify water as safe or unsafe for drinking.
